The fall provides some fun options for adding some unique decor to your home, either inside or out. And more people are decorating for Halloween then ever before. This is a very simple wreath (above) that I made as Halloween front door decor, you can add more unique Halloween ribbon, or tie it up with an orange ribbon. I liked it in all black because I have a white front door so it really contrasted with the door. This was simple to make, an easy DIY – I bought a styrofoam wreath form and a bunch of inexpensive faux flowers from the dollar store. I sprayed those faux flowers matte black and then glued them to the form.
Or, you can use pumpkins a traditional way outdoors, or inside a fireplace or on dining table. These painted ones are cute.
And of course I like the look of a pumpkin in black chalkboard paint!
But if Halloween decor isn't your thing, you can always incorporate some fall leaves. This entry from House & Home magazine, with a large fall branch in a burlap base is one of my favourites.
