In my living room shown above I was in a pinch for drapery so I made the panels. A lot of people asked about the window treatments when it appeared in House & Home magazine. There were two large windows on either side of the sofa that I wanted to frame with full length panels. It was a quick & easy fix – drapery that doesn't require sewing is my kind of DIY project! I bought a heavy linen and cut it into panels to hang on either side of the window.
I bought a rod and ring (and spray painted it black because I couldn't find black), and I simply attached the panels at the top with drapery hooks. Because the fabric was a heavy linen it didn't fray and I did a simple fold at the bottom and pressed it so it looked finished at the bottom edge. They were easy to make and something I did myself in an evening.
